Emirates NBD Names Ex-Barclays Man As Treasurer

Emirates NBD, the leading banking Group in the region, has hired Barclay's ex-regional treasurer for emerging markets and Africa
with Barclays Bank, as new group treasurer. Aazar Ali Khwaja starts immediately in the new role. He was previously regional treasurer for emerging markets and Africa
with Barclays Bank, during which he also served as chairman of the regional asset and liability management committee. Aazar’s previous
roles also included MD and head of fixed income currency and commodities in Citigroup's Central and Eastern European division, group treasurer for Saudi Hollandi
Bank in Saudi Arabia, and MD Treasury for ABN Amro/K&H Bank in
Hungary. As at 30 June 2012, total assets of Emirates NBD were AED 298.4 billion . The firm has Islamic banking, global markets & treasury, investment banking, private banking, asset management and brokerage operations.
